For golf in New Mexico, this is one course you can’t miss. As you tee off on the first hole, a 150 – foot vertical drop welcomes you onto The Lodge Golf Course. At 9,000 feet above sea level, the terrain is as challenging as it is beautiful.
Our golf course is one of North America’s oldest, which celebrated its 120th season in 2019. It was established in 1899 and for the first 50 years it was the highest course in elevation in North America. Now we hold the title of 5th highest course in the US.
Governed by the Scottish tradition of playing different tees and separate flags on each hole, this dramatic nine – hole course, when played twice, becomes a challenging 18 – hole round.

We believe our guests share our desire to make The Lodge Golf Course a very special place to play golf. Therefore, we enforce what we believe is a comfortable, but proper dress code. Collared shirts, tailored pants and shorts, and golf shoes (or soft-soled shoes) are required for play.
